Abstract

This paper deals with the topic of selection of electric motor that is the most suitable for an electric vehicle drive. Structure and methods of operation of the electric vehicles, advantages are presented. Selection of optimal electric motor with parameters that characterize it is given. Matlab/Simulink model is developed and simulations results are presented. Response signals of the electric motor to the requirements of city driving cycle are shown.
