Abstract

Within the framework of the thesis, the basic definition of technology and application of mixed reality is given, as well as comparison with augmented and virtual reality. The result of the work is a functional mixed reality application for the purpose of presenting specific computer-generated room (real or imaginary) inside the real surrounding. The developed application projects a portal on the scanned flat surface leading to the digital world. Application development steps are described in detail in the practical part, along with a description of the development environment (Unity) and software add-ons used to create the application (ARCore SDK, Android SDK). In order to verify its functionality, the application has been tested on different devices under different lighting conditions both outdoors and indoors.
