Abstract

This master's thesis explores the terminal building of Banja Luka Airport, analysing its past, present, and potential future. The focus is on improving functionality, passenger comfort, and technical equipment in accordance with modern standards. Through architectural design and spatial analysis, the thesis examines how the terminal can be adapted to meet the needs of passengers, staff, and operational systems. A multidisciplinary approach is applied, linking architecture with technology, transportation, and user experience, aiming to define an optimal solution for adaptation and capacity expansion. Special attention is given to the building’s visual identity, safety aspects, and long-term sustainability.
