Abstract

The main part of this paper presents the description, application and display of test results that analyze the state of the device during and after the critical "BusOff" error detected by the CAN transceiver. The paper describes the role of testing in the automotive industry, CAN protocol, error detection mechanisms, test case, test environment, plan of attack and practical execution of the test with results.
