REMOVAL OF CARBENDAZIM FROM WATER USING ADSORBENT PREPARED FROM COFFEE GROUND WASTE
Univerzitet u Novom Sadu, Fakultet tehnickih nauka
Abstract
The main goal of the paper is to examine the possibility of using the newly formed adsorbent from coffee waste to remove pesticide carbendazim from the aqueous medium. Carbendazim is an emerging micropollutant which is on the NORMAN list of emerging substances due to its potential negative impact on the aquatic ecosystem. Activated carbon formed from coffee waste has proven to be an environmentally friendly material, low prices and with high potential for the separation of the analysed pesticide from the aquatic system.
